Committees
In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

Board of Directors  
Club Meeting & AdministrationThis Committee is responsible for providing the most effective club meeting possible. Areas of focus include helping to schedule monthly programs, creating and distributing regular Kiwanis Fact and Moment Schedules, and other areas the committee may deem pertinent. The Committee also schedules interclubs and distributes program information to Interclub Chairs from the other clubs in Division 13 and encourages them to visit our club. Finance and FundraisingThis Committee works very closely with the President, President-Elect and Treasurer to monitor the club’s budget and ensure the other Committees work within their budgets. The Committee reviews club investments and reports to the club quarterly. The Committee also works with the Bingo Manager to ensure Bingo has adequate volunteers and help the Bingo Manager in any way needed. The Committee works closely with the President-Elect to solicit sponsors for the Annual New Teachers’ Breakfast and pPamela Washington
Human and Spiritual ValuesThis Committee implements projects that support spiritual development, provide human companionship and comfort, and offer counseling and guidance. The Committee ensures a club member does the Invocation and Benediction at each club meeting and schedules individuals to do each at club events. The Committee also works with the Committee on Community and Youth Services to support Edmarc’s Peace by Piece, a support group for children that have lost a family member. Membership Growth & EducationThis Committee’s main goal is to increase club membership through membership drives and distributing club information. The committee considers all membership applications and submits recommendations to the board of directors. The committee also develops an effective orientation and induction ceremony for new members and promotes regular attendance by all members at club meetings. The Committee works closely with the Public Relations Committee to distribute information to the community.Joan Davis, William Black
Public RelationsThis committee is responsible for helping to ensure that the public receives, through the media and other means, news about events, service projects, fundraisers, goals, programs and achievements of the club.Monte Correll
ScholarshipsThe Committee oversees the Club’s annual Scholarship Programs.Baxter Simmons
Sponsored Leadership ProgramsThis committee establishes and supports Kiwanis programs in elementary schools, Builders Clubs in middle schools, Key Clubs in high schools, Circle K International Clubs in colleges and Aktion Clubs for adults with disabilities. The Committee encourages and promotes the activities of all SLP clubs sponsored by the club.Monte Correll
Young Children Priority OneThis Committee addresses the needs of young children, ages 0 to 5. The Committee receives information from the public and our club members regarding service projects and donation requests and evaluates accordingly. The Committee coordinates service projects and secures volunteers to complete each project.Marianne Sherman
